Fashion of the eyes has ascended: Etnia Barcelona has forged a new intersection between fine art demonstrations, experimental culture, and eco-sustainability. In 2022, the Etnia Barcelona brand created the ETNIA EYEWEAR CULTURE group, which incorporates, in addition to Etnia Barcelona, three new independent brands: ‘lool’ , ‘the readers*’, and ALLPOETS. Moreover, Etnia Barcelona also invented Moi Aussi: a new vision art gallery transforming glasses into artworks, connecting artists worldwide. “MOI AUSSI is the artist’s manifesto to connect with emotions. To honor yourself. To celebrate art louder. To have no boundaries. To color the world. To be part of it. To embrace artists’ souls. To inspire people. To create connections. It transcends all cultural boundaries, ensuring that the true purpose of art triumphs over all diversity.”

Moi Aussi’s Skein by Giordano Tricarico “Giordano Tricarico’s work reflects on the idea of thread as a means of tracing a path towards the dimension where it stops being thread and becomes form. As if to retrace ‘Ariadne’s thread’, observing between the lines and the layers, one can reconstruct the path and the creative process back to the beginning.”

______

In the early days of fashion brands merging with other entities to produce a collaboration, it would have been ambitious to plan for the joint venture to spark a generational wave of art medium exploration. Etnia Barcelona is an eyewear brand capturing the spectrum of vivid colors undiscovered to the naked eye, delivering sharper vision with frames that emit zero refractions, keeping the health of the eyes safe with 100% UV protection lenses. Etnia has been adjusting the world’s vision and mastering the optical-sensory experience since the 1950s — when Fulgencio Ramo (grandfather of David Pellicer, the current owner of the company) developed his first eyewear factory. His grandson, and Barcelona native David Pellicer has since exalted the Etnia Barcelona legacy onto the international stage, creating a one-of-a-kind eyewear label that doubles as a living participant of art history. David leads fine art endeavor projects into the history of fashion culture, reaching far past the modern art mecca’s geographic footprints.

Etnia Barcelona's eyewear presents HD lenses that are made of mineral glass, created from three of the Earth's most rare elements — Neodymium, Praseodymium, and Erbium. These elements enhance visual perception quality by organically enhancing contrast hues, providing an exceptional visual experience known to few. Each crafted lens is Hydrophobic, allowing dander to be smoothly repelled from the lens surface, preventing smudge damage, and assisting the lens’ consistent hydration.

Shifting Perspectives

__________

Etnia Barcelona has been sculpting the following message into the stone walls of present-day culture: the essence of radiant intensity is magnified when expressive disciplines merge to create a prototype realm of phantasmagorical images.

The maestro eyewear brand has collaborated with the artistic legacy of Brooklyn-native, Jean-Michel Basquiat. The J.M. Basquiat x Etnia Barcelona collection was comprised of 4 models of sunglasses, each crafted into different shapes displaying unparalleled color combinations. The Basquiat collection was characterized by the patterns inspired by Jean-Michel’s revered works: “Glenn,” “Fallen Angel” and “In This Case.” Basquiat’s universally recognized “crown” signature was encrusted in gold on the collection’s frame fronts — matched to mineral lenses with the same color scheme of the three works of art that inspired the capsule collaboration.

Most recently, Etnia produced a collaboration alongside Antoni Gaudi’s ‘Casa Batlló’ — the phenomenal Spaniard structure whose window balconies are replicas of elaborate skeleton pieces. The CASA BATLLÓ x ETNIA BARCELONA eyewear collection has sparked a roaring dialogue between Modernism, color schemes, and design forms. Inspired by the chance to blend art, architecture, and historic Barcelona culture, the Casa Batlló x Etnia Barcelona collaboration symbolizes the rejuvenation of fine art measures that stimulate new intellectual scenes.

‘Red Sound Sessions’ Global Emboss

Etnia Barcelona is the architect of ‘RED SOUND SESSIONS’ — a “NEW COLOR ON MUSIC”, recording artist's unreleased musical sessions at Red Sound Recording Studios. Recent artists to perform inside the reverberant talent vault include: Bikôkô, 070 Shake, and BB trickz. Red Sound Recording Studios as a chemically charismatic space is most similar to a dream that never quite bids your peripheral thoughts farewell. The studio’s ambiance mirrors one of those dreams that leave a static vapor around the corners of your mind, creating sensations of a void longing to be filled by the marrow of this same seizing recollection now being lost to time. Attending a Red Sound Recording Session is most similar to flowing through a summer-lit vineyard poised on the feathery knolls of the countryside. Each performance marks a turning point in fashion history, human history, and the advancement of converging mediums to create a visual odyssey. replenishing your memory with new bursts of technicolor. Red Sound Studio Performances offers a small group of lucky guests an intimate musical performance, creating an audiovisual bridge between global artists and audiences. Inside the belly of this molten, Scarlet color recording studio - invited guests are given the key to an eccentric hidden paradise.

In SESSION #02 of Red Sound Sessions hosted by Etnia Barcelona eyewear, North Bergen’s 070 Shake took the radial platform stage (lined in debonair Mediterranean rugs). Shake’s nocturnal, timid stance cracked open as a chestnut would with a firm squeeze, inviting the close audience to engage with her emotive movements as she paced the platform in a soulful haze. During her performance of her latest single ‘Black Dress’, 070 intertwined herself with the synergy of the ballad’s amorous undertones. Swaying with a bottle of ‘Estrella Damm’ throughout her performance (as a rockstar does) — Shake journeyed through the memories of a love dissolved into the crevices of time, vulnerably passing through a dungeon of heartbreak using the octaves of her voice.

_________

The quality of Etnia eyewear has been, and continues to be fundamental — shedding light naturally onto how it sustains its triumph, producing authentic results through technologically interactive practices between art mediums. Etnia Barcelona is the eyewear brand of the future — transmitting a message to the cultures that will outlive us that they are forging a new frontier, one that mirrors the inner workings of a metamorphosis.
