As the holiday season approaches in Los Angeles, the festivities begin to pop anywhere we look. There are holiday decorations, Christmas trees, and festive music playing everywhere. Friends and family make plans to gather for meals, shopping, holiday parties, or festive events. Here are some of the places you’ll want to visit with your friends this Christmas in LA.

Americana at Brand

Americana at Brand is a shopping center located in Glendale. This outdoor shopping mall goes all out for festivities with its 80 foot Christmas tree, fake snow, Christmas lights, Santa’s House, carolers, and festive train rides. Santa’s House is a cute Christmas cottage set up near the gardens where guests can take pictures with Santa and enjoy other holiday activities and goodie bags. The shopping center also offers a small train for guests to cruise through and enjoy the holiday cheer. Americana at Brand is also extending its hours of operation, making it the perfect destination for holiday shopping.

Candy Cane Lane

Candy Cane Lane is a local attraction that takes place across many homes and neighborhoods. A popular location for Candy Cane Lane is in El Segundo. Neighbors will get together and coordinate Christmas decorations across the entire street, turning it into a true winter wonderland! These Christmas decorations are not just simple two-step decorations. You can count on seeing falling fake snow, huge snow globes, and too many Christmas lights. Depending on which street you are passing through, you might find street vendors selling coffee, hot chocolate, and other holiday goodies. Anyone is welcome to drive through Candy Cane Land and get a free dose of holiday cheer! 

Holiday Road LA

Holiday Road is a festive experience where guests can enjoy Santa and Mrs. Claus, thousands of Christmas lights, holiday displays, candy canes, elves, and much more holiday cheer! This walking experience takes place in Calabasas with a two-thirds-of-a-mile-long self-guided trail. Guests will have access to a wide variety of local food trucks offering festive eats to choose from. There is also a “Holiday Bar” where guests can stop by for a seasonal cocktail to enjoy while exploring the rest of Holiday Road. Tickets start at $29.99.

Yuletide Cinemaland

Yuletide Cinemaland is a yearly holiday event by Street Food Cinema. Guests can enjoy a screening of a Christmas movie surrounded by plenty more festivities before and during the movie. Yuletide Cinemaland provides a variety of locations, from a picnic-style setting with outdoor seating to a Christmas village at Heritage Square Museum. Pre-show entertainment with live performances by bands will be provided so guests can feel the holiday cheer even before the screening starts. There will also be access to plenty of local food trucks with festive foods before and during the screening. Ticket prices and locations vary.
