La Beauté Du Manoir Hale Bob

“THE BEAUTY OF THE HALE BOB MANSION”

By: Alondra Nicole

The Hale Bob Mansion is a California culture symbol, preserved in architectural design elements native to the 1920’s, Spanish-Colonial Revival Movement. The historic Beverly Hills estate is an exotic remnant of Old Hollywood fortune; complete with a porte-cochère that doubles as a bridge, connecting the composition of the main grounds to an intimate design wing engulfed by French casement windows.

Parisian fashion designer, Daniel Bohbot, owns the expansive colonial compound. Bohbot is the 2001 founder of Hale Bob Los Angeles: a globally admired fashion label pioneering effervescent color schemes unto fine silks and organic textile fibers. The Hale Bob estate is a picturesque wonderland that encompasses Daniel’s vivid ideations for Hale Bob; abounding in scenes of twentieth century architectural brilliance, botanical verandas, and a hidden waterfall made of imported stone. Wildflowers flutter in the wind , echoing the rhythm of the Hale Bob design concepts being finalized in the fashion quarters. ,“This land is the physical body of Hale Bob designs,” confessed Daniel, “Everything that exists within these walls is intended to provoke the imagination. Hale Bob considers the fluid forms in which fashion influences our personal human evolution.”

During our interview under towering and verdant palm trees that dangle over the estate, Daniel discussed the symbolism of the Hale Bob Mansion. He noted that having an outward reflection of Hale Bob was a nod to La Belle Époque; the prosperous era in France that produced illustrious, aristocratic artwork. As a fine-arts collector himself, fond of rare sculptures and modern art; Daniel has thoughtfully orchestrated the twenty-first century curation of the mansion. Though the residence was built with a 1920’s wooden entryway - the modernized entry door is a statement piece reflecting the complexity of creation. The Hale Bob entrance is the veil that transports visitors from the physical moment into the delicacy of an awoken dream. ,“Designing couture for women through my lens as a man - it is an act of adoration,” expressed Daniel, “Women by nature are symbols of beauty, and The Hale Bob Mansion is a reflection of what each woman is by défaut: divine.”

Since its arrival in Los Angeles, the Hale Bob vision has long been embraced by esteemed figures of multi-cultural influence. Globally-treasured actresses such as Salma Hayek, Sofia Vergara, and Eva Longoria are only a few of the divine emulates that have been dressed in Hale Bob’s illustrious collections. Beauty icons Halle Berry and Cindy Crawford are too, Hale Bob symbols, styled in pieces designed by Daniel since 2001. ,“The distinct pattern formations painted across our fabric is a magnification,” shared Daniel, “A magnification of the mystérieuse - a plunge into the prism of magnetism that only women can reflect.”

Upon entering the estate, the castle-like gates open to a brick driveway, teeming with shy scruffs of flowers sprouting from the spaces in between each step. The Spanish-tiled pool absorbs the tangerine sunlight and, the white-linen hammocks spread across the courtyard glide through the wind with the majesty of an angel. The royal columns connecting the dining terrace to the outdoor veranda are swarmed by evergreen batches of leaves. The Hale Bob estate omits its own heartbeat, mirroring the cultured decades of California engraved into the foundation’s memory…
