Nowadays, people are craving connection, whether it be through adventure or a culinary experience. With this in mind, DIRT provides just that.

DIRT is a new series created and presented by lifestyle brand, Huckberry. Show host Josh Rosen, former pro snowboarder and co-founder of international surf-inspired lifestyle brand Saturdays gives viewers that reconnection and inspiration to delve into the world of adventure, the outdoors as well as cooking in the wild, in their backyards and in the comfort of their own homes. 

The series premiered on February 24, in which the New York episode served as an enticing journey for every fan’s palate. Rosen gathered ingredients from each visit, which resulted in a whole feast. From spearfishing on Montauk, Long Island, known as the end of the world, alongside fisherman Anthony Sosinski to whipping up an authentic Indian goat dish with James Beard Award-winning Chef Chintan Pandya of NYC’s Unapologetic Foods at Adda Indian Canteen in Queens. Rosen also foraged in a public park in the Bronx with Clinical Herbalist Journei Bimwala, joined urban beekeeper Andrew Cote at a rooftop, followed by trekking to Bushwick to uncover the mysteries of sake with Brewmaster Shinbo Kato. 

Rosen then traveled out of Manhattan to the Hudson Valley, where he visited Raven & Boar to meet butcher Ruby Metzner to make sausages, and tame fire at Thyme Hill sheep farm in the Catskills with Norberto Piattoni. Overall, this special episode celebrated artisans that have and continue to share their passion, craft, and stories.

Every 25-minute episode provides viewers with more than just a city’s landscape, as they’ll get to experience sourcing food and ingredients unique to their region with local chefs, artisans, and artists via forests, oceans, mountains, and America’s hidden gems.
